While carbs are important to weight watchers, the article refers to the significance of carbs, shorthand for carbohydrates, for a person living with diabetes- PWD. In contrasting carbs to two other key ingredients: protein and fat, carbohydrates have the most effect on our blood glucose levels and is a key component in diabetic living.
